What are involved in the design of a
new product?
The first step to bring an idea to production is to make
a sound engineering design. We have expertise covering most areas in

If you contact us with a design idea that falls into our
scope of interest and business mode, we will make a preliminary design to
evaluate feasibility and cost. The cost estimate includes unit cost and
necessary NRE and/or tooling cost. NRE (non-recurring engineering) cost is
the cost for the design, development and testing of a new product. Tooling
cost is the cost to make PCBs, custom displays and other non-standard
parts, including the molding cost for plastic enclosures. These costs
depends on the nature of the project. We routinely offer the lowest NRE

When we reach an agreement on the cost of design and
development, our engineers will proceed with the design, and produce
prototypes for the client. Click here to learn

What if a client already has a design
or prototype?
As we said, we can help you at any stage of your
development cycle. If you already have a design or prototype made by
yourself or another provider, you can send it to us for assessment. The
design or prototype will be analyzed to reduce cost, enhance reliability
and improve production efficiency. Upon your requests, we can make
whatever revisions you want or add whatever extra features you like to the
existing design or prototype, then proceed to make a new design and
produce a new prototype for you.
Is reverse engineering possible?
We can make a design based on an old design; we can make a
design based on the functions of an old device; or we can simply start
from scratch based on a description of an obsolete device and and
incorporate improvements required by the client. We can also replicate
products or parts if they are otherwise unavailable. (These services are
subject to patent and other intellectual property limitations. Altadox,
Inc. shall decline to conduct any projects that are in violation of laws
and regulations concerning patents and other intellectual properties, in
the US, Canada, Europe, China and other countries.)
What are involved in contract
manufacturing?
Whether it is provided by ourselves or another provider,
the engineering design will be re-evaluated for mass production purposes.
Then we put the product into manufacture according to the delivery

visit?
You are welcome to visit our factory or offices around the
world at any time. Since we are receiving many inquiries every day, the best
time for a new client to visit our factory is after our offer has been
accepted and before mass production starts. However, we will always
accommodate your schedule. We will also help you with local transportation
and hotel reservation if necessary.
